morning paper

Liz West

Here in snowy Massachusetts, fetching the morning paper can be an undertaking. My paper is at the end of my driveway, which is about five car lengths from my front door. However, on some mornings, I have to schlep through knee-deep snow to get there. On other mornings, I have to barricade myself behind layers of warm items to stay warm. At the very least, I don hat, gloves, and a scarf. I add high boots when I face fresh snow.
