a bit of brass

elements:
a belt
a bag
shot in black and white

The focus was a bit soft in this one so I added a texture for good measure.
The belt: the first thing I bought with my first salary when I worked in Paris in 1968. It was heavy and chunky, with a brass buckle and rings, and I wore it slung low around the hips over a white silk minidress. It has mysteriously shrunk over the years and now will not even fit around my waist. But I have always kept it safely, stored in a cupboard along with my college scarf.
The bag: a colourful Indian leather bag that has lost its straps; one day I will mend it.
