This chopper belonged to my mother-in-law, or her mother. It's one of two we found while clearing her apartment. I imagine that she had a wooden bowl in which it was used. We don't have the bowl. Don't know if this is something from the chicken store on the Lower East Side that her mother owned. I've always imagined that the huge cleaver came from there. Sonya (my mother-in-law) worked at the chicken store too.
