I still have the jeans jacket from my childhood, made by Levi and boasting faded zinc buttons. It no longer fits me, but I wore it for years as I rode around the Pennsylvania countryside on my horse, Bonnie Highland Lassie. Perhaps it is this memory that makes me so fond of denim jackets today.
