table

Liz West

My mother lived well into her 80s. At the time of her death, I was in my 60s and my children were grown, with homes of their own. We all kept small mementos but donated her furniture to an organization that gives it to people in need. My mother would have liked that. However, I did keep one small table, which stands shrouded in my barn. I'm not sure what I will do with it, but it was the table in which she stored all the letters that she received from friends and family, so it is meaningful to me.
