Camera shooting birds
Perfect lighting and shadows
Guess I'll use my phone

1 - A hat (Apple!)
2 - The shadow of something living (A plant!)
3 - Partially desaturated (Absolutely!)

It's hard to find a photogenic hat. I have "shadows of living things, not human" all the time. But bringing them together in a fun, interesting way....

So I was sitting in the chair in my bedroom today and the light hit the ponytail palm perfectly! Aligned the hat properly, and used my iPhone in RAW shooting mode to take the shot.

The benefit of RAW shooting is, you get to pull out some of the details in the shadow and highlight area. As a test, I fiddled with the JPEGs - that was a joke. The light totally blew out the details. So RAW it is!

I shoot with the iOS version of ProCamera, then save the RAW files directly to OneDrive, pull it into Adobe Lightroom and fiddle from there. Lots of fiddling!

Also, please do not judge me for the required electronics under my bed. It's a Sleep Number so it has a specialized pump box, with WiFi and an assortment of connectors going into and coming out of it.
