Shoegazing for a Utata project

Thiophene_ Guy

Utata's Iron Photographer project 221 asks for:

1 - a thing (sock thing, foot thing)
2 - in a shoe (moccasin style)
3 - b&w orton effect (e.g "crappy lens effect" via Picasa's Ortonish)

The Orton effect was intended to make a dreamy, watercolor effect in a color image. Translated to B&W one finds this is akin to obliterating detail - often at odds with the strength of the medium. I wondered how this might work on dark image, where all detail is in a restricted area. Without the original for context it simply appears to be a crummy lens.

A better application might be on an out of focus image, to enhance the blur.
