Rose in the window

Both the jar and the rose are meaningful, the jar has survived from my childhood. When I was about 7 or so, I went with my father to an agricultural show in the city and while we were there he bought a jar of marmalade from someone selling preserves, this is the jar! It was far nicer than the ones mum usually made jam in.

He also bought something from one of those stalls that sold gadgets (this was in the days before those infomercials) and was never allowed to forget it :-) (a useless grater in case you're interested)

The rose is New Dawn, there was a huge bush of it growing on the fence on the farm where I grew up.
