Although I was married for almost two decades, I've been single even longer. At one time, I found it difficult to cook for just myself. It seemed like too much effort. Then one day I realized how strange it was that I would prepare wonderful dishes for others but not for myself. Who enjoys good food more than I do?

Now I cook for myself as well. Often, it's not elaborate, but it's always tasty, like this fruit salad.
