a sweet memory

My godmother made this quirky little doll. She had made several of them and when we visited their house, we played with them as children. She recently was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and handed this to me at my sister's funeral. I couldn't stop the tears; it brought back such a flood of wonderful memories, of my best friends and gentler times. I will treasure it always.
