Dandelion in Ice

JoLynne Martinez

Photographed for Utata's Iron Photographer challenge #321. Required elements are:
1. Something which tells the time
2. Something which belongs in the freezer
3. Predominantly two colours.

Obviously this image is yellow and white, and the ice belongs in the freezer.

Less obviously, dandelions have been used in flower clocks, which were invented by Carl Linnaeus (the botanist who also invented the modern system of naming organisms). In his work he observed that certain flowers opened and closed at roughly the same time each day and proposed a clock in the form of a bed of plants opening and closing at various times. Dandelions were one of the plants he suggested for such a clock.

As with all my work, constructive critique is welcome, and faves are appreciated.
