Checking out the guest bathroom

Liz West

This project required three elements:
1. a headless self-portrait
2. something round
3. an uneven horizon

My first entry was posed, but this was merely restaged in front of a camera. I was expecting company and checked out the guest bathroom. As soon as I walked into it carrying a roll of toilet paper, I thought "Iron Photographer!" So then I stopped in mid-action and got out all the paraphernalia and snapped a picture. It's probably a more accurate self-portrait than my earlier IP, because this is something I actually do. I never lie about eating mints out of a glass.
