This is a re-imagining of Little Red Riding Hood. In my alternative version of the story, the wolf is the scapegoat and the handsome woodsman very much the villain. I suspect that the original story was designed to crush any spirit of adventure in little girls and to encourage dependence on any man who happened to be around.
