Looking northeast towards Masterton way in the distance. (from the Mt Dick Lookout). The Wairarapa is a valley northeast of New Zealand's capital of Wellington. It is mainly an agricultural area, in sheep and some dairy, but with a strong wine industry and an up and coming olive oil industry.
