Waubeka, Wisconsin, USA

Paul Thomas

Welcome to Waubeka, Wisconsin, USA.

Here is a picture of Stony Hill School. At his desk, Bernard J. Cigrand started his dogged pursuit of the national holiday. Starting at age 19, he petitioned and requested an annual national holiday. On June 14, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the national observance of Flag Day.

This picture is a symbol of Waubeka. The land has rocky fields, those rocks were used to build many of the structures. This agricultural community was based on the mill in the downtown area. The area is known for its hardwork, determination, and patriotism.

I hope you can come visit some day.
