Pumpkin Pinhole

Caryn Stein

A part of Utata's weekend project, Pinhole Photography.

This was supposed to be the second Jack-o-Lantern, but we ran out of time to carve it. I guess it's either going to be roasted or compost. But it makes a very patient model.

This was my first experiment with the pinhole concept. Since I have no patience (unlike the pumpkin) I fashioned a very crude (and rude) pinhole with my DSLR by removing the lens, covering the body in foil and pricking a tiny hole in the center of the foil with a needle. Now I'm off to see what other ways I can accomplish a pinhole assembly without too much construction.

(some post-processing cleanup here)
