No warning to her flight

harold lloyd

Shot in a hurry through the end of a cardboard toilet roll, if you're wondering about the haziness and vignetting.... Don't ask.

But having said that, I love how this actually turned out.

Used for the Utata October 2008 project. And chosen for the front page of Utata on 17 October. Greg Fallis summed up it thusly (and perfectly):

Pink balloon - a thin layer of latex inflated to envelop whimsies and delights, tied with a ribbon to the end of a string carried over a child's shoulder as she rushes for no reason from here to someplace else.

You can, of course, have a pink balloon that doesn't enclose whimsies and delights. A balloon that isn't tied with a ribbon to the end of a string. A string that isn't carried over a child's shoulder. A child that doesn't rush for no reason from one place to another place. You could.

But what would be the point?
