Rocky

Robin Gornell

We passed him crossing the street. I stopped Paul and said, "Did you see his face? He has the perfect face for a portrait!" Along the sidewalk he set up and started playing and singing. A bit later I purposed to get over there and when I did I asked if I could take his photo. "Yes", he said, as he grinned and looked up at me with these incredibly bright blue eyes. I took a couple of shots and asked him his name. "Rocky Erickson." I thanked Rocky, dropped a dollar in his guitar case, and walked away with SO many questions I now wish I had asked.

This picture is #2 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at www.100strangers.com.
