HeatWave or "The Beginning of Suprematism"

View On Black - Large

Sometimes I feel that for a photograph to be just "so", to feel "right".For everything to fit and come together, we have to establish a "Victory over the Sun" first. The sun, it's light is neccesary to begin with, otherwise there would be no photograpy. But the sun can be an enemy to.Not only for sometimes difficult and changing lighting conditions but for the warmth and heat it radiates in to this world.Imagine walking for four or five hours without resting, practically without having a drink, all because you do not want to miss out on anything.Something might happen.A shadow may suddenly shift left or right and form the ultimate image.
(It goes without saying I (we) inflickt this on myself of course. No doubt about it ;-) )

I tend to analyse a scene, deconstruct it, before I press the shutter.I try to divide everything up in geometrical shapes and forms and in doing so want to achieve a great level of abstraction.I tend to look for a better position.n this photograph, I practically stood on the motorway, right in the middle of it although walking there was strictly forbidden. It's a Sunday, so not much traffic about. That helped.
