In the Big Chair

Linus Gelber

Taking a brief break from the SXSW Music pictures...

At the Micromuseum down on Smith Street, Jennifer Lambert has a show of her big colorful collages (there are several images of her work peppered here and there in my photo stream).

One of the super features of the Micromuseum is the Big Chair down in back of the gallery. Since we're grownups, it takes a little social time before we start taking turns sitting in it. Here Jennifer and her mother pose together - as you can see, they have a fine appreciation of the slightly goofy.

The Big Chair is in a pretty dark corner. I pushed this shot in the taking, and pushed it even harder in the processing. It's pretty stretched and fragile as an exposure - but how could I pass up those two big grins? I couldn't, that's how.
