Strobist info: Off camera light provided by a daylight balanced florescent lamp reflected off a curved mirror surface placed directly below the camera and aimed upward to illuminate the back of the chair starting from the cushion up. Back-lit using light from television screen to illuminate the floor to bring a mild amount of separation for the front legs from the dark background, to add texture to the cushion fabric, and to provide rim highlights for the back of the chair itself.

This is the first photo that I ever decided to make as opposed to take. I actually managed to capture exactly what I had imagined despite having to chase both the dog (PET ME!) and the cat (I can climb this!) away from the scene.
