Chemotherapy is designed to kill fast growing cells, including those in hair roots. Some medications produce total baldness, but others just mess up hair follicles in unexpected and sometimes humorous ways. After years of treatment, my hair is very odd to me: wiry, coarse, and impossible to style. However, how much of that is due to medication and how much merely to age is a question I cannot answer.
