3 Sleek Birds in a Scruffy Bush

These Cedar Waxwings -- rare in our yard if not in the region -- showed up the very same week I swore I would tear this miserable, scraggly, invasive Eleagnus up by the roots. The birds acted as if they'd won the lottery. An hour later they were gone and haven't been seen since. So... do I tear out the Eleagnus?
