Field of Vision

Linus Gelber

Spring, in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The cherry blossoms are partway through their blooming cycle, and the tulips are in flower. I think these are Parrot Tulip "Rococo" plants - if not, then they are the Lily-Flowered Tulip "Pieter de Leur" variety (the signs get a bit confusing, and there are so many shapes and colors). The dark buds may be Single Late Tulip "Queen of the Night" plants.

I'm late to the Garden, as it seems I always am. One of these seasons I will try to make it over to see the place by late-morning light, rather than my usual late-afternoon.

This shot is one of my Thursday Walk (on Friday) set. We in the Utata group go walking on Thursdays (and sometimes Fridays) to see what there is to see, and to shoot what there is to see as well. To see what the group saw, check the photo set for this project on the Utata site; for more of my own Thursdays, my set of images is here on Flickr.
