The entrance to the old world war I and II fort in the town of Bornem ( wich lies in the province of Antwerp, Belgium) Around this old fort, fishermen's cabins get rented out because the fort is surrounded by a rather large body of water, filled with fish.This is a paradise if you like fishing.When the weather's fine (unlike it was today, as you can see from the photo) a lot of fishermen are out and about and the surroundings of this old fort are thriving with life !
The fort is part of the old gurdle of fortifications around the city of Antwerp (Belgium) they where build during world war I to defend the city of Antwerp and its large international harbour against attacs from the Germans.
