Havhingsten fra Glendalough

Dave

A brief visit from the Vikings, a thousand years ago and she wouln't be waving. She would still be hiding in the hills. This is a replica of a longboat the remains of which were found in the Roskilde Fjord in Denmark, apparently they used the original keel of Irish Oak. The vessel left Denmark last July bound for Ireland via Orkney. It is now on it's way back to Denmark and only called in at Torquay because of bad weather.
