Our Stars

Linus Gelber

Moments after the final credits roll on the Wallace and Gromit movie in next-door Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Parks Department guards sweep through to kick us all out. The entire audience, being alive, has moved down to the water to gaze at our beautiful New York night and have a few moments of beautiful silence, but when have bureaucrats ever seen stars?

The adjacent State Park is open until 1:00 a.m., and I snatch a few moments there before moving on.

It's a big city, so see it a little larger. Or see other images from this round of Thursday walking.
