Park(ing) Day!

Today is Park(ing) Day, during which 50 parking spots in New York City are taken over and turned into Park Spots instead. The New York celebration is part of a national and international effort - in choice spots all over the world, sod is being rolled out and people take the place of cars.

After a few hours on the street at Stay-cation Park on Court Street, one of the enterprising organizers makes a few judicious alterations to the posted Police Department permits for the spot. There: that's much better.
