Sky Calls

Linus Gelber

A few days before sending a buttload of snow our way, February coughs up one of those scattered temperate days: it's 50° of balmy, with a gentle wind and rainclouds mumbling in the distance. I'm sitting in the sidewalk section of Tazza, enjoying my first outdoor coffee in a fair long time, wondering if I'll finish my cup and muffin before the rain gets it together.

The outside tables are set up optimistically. Even though it's warm enough to use them, it's still February in the mind, and people pass by bundled in coats and scarves and winter hats. All the rest of the customers are still indoors.

Same again, but bigger.
