Concensus

Linus Gelber

A hot day downtown, and I'm out in the streets after spending precious hours of this beautiful Thursday cajoling a sick computer.

I go through phases of shooting the City and ignoring it. When I do take it as a subject, I tend to the repetitions and reflections. I like pictures where you can see the bricks. I've lived most of my life in New York, and I think it is probably best understood as a giant built up, bit by bit, of the tiniest pieces. That's true anywhere, of course, but it's so visible here.

This image has been spotted as high as #220 in the Flickr daily Interestingness charts.
