Autumn on Amity Street

Linus Gelber

Our New York City autumns have been muted over these last years - sullen and inward, lacking most of the bright splashes of seasons past. I'm told that this has to do with how warm our Septembers are lately. Lacking a bite of cold to start their display, trees for the most part fade quietly from green into a crusty brown.

I've stopped by the LICH clinic for a blood test, and now it's time to adjourn for caffeine and a quiet book.

Hmm. Uploading to Flickr seems to have washed much of the mid-range color out of this image, which is a shame. Well, no time to fix it now.
