Gold Reflections

The windows on the sky scraper across the road are coated in gold. A bank tower of course, the claim it keeps down the IR heating from the sun. With the long canadian winters why would we want to do that?

The gold does make for the ultimate in photographic fill reflectors in the late afternoon sun.
