A Longing of Tulips
Linus Gelber

The plan for today is lunch in Williamsburg with an old friend, but that is postponed to next Friday. With the weather so lovely, I welcome the chance to make my first visit of the year to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
Spring flowering is early this year, and the cherry blossoms are already past peak. The tulip beds are in splendor.
As I noted in the post below, the collective noun for tulips is the generic "bunch." As in, "a bunch of tulips." Completely inadequate. Tulips need a word with some richness to it, so I'm trying some out here. I'm thinking particularly of either "outrage" or "longing."
A longing of tulips. An outrage of tulips. What do we think? Anyone? Bueller?
