Miles smiles

It's a pity that the Miles Davis memorial is placed facing a building with its back to the lake, because it makes it very hard to photograph. Anyway, try, try, try again, as my mother used to say. I couldn't fit his trumpet in, too - it is pushed back into a crack in the plinth. The work of Bernard Bavaud who also sculpted the busts of Richard Strauss, Wilhelm Furtwängler and Stravinsky (the one in the auditorium, not on the lakeside).
