Sunset On High Park's Grenadier Pond

Lucky that there was a thin glass like layer of ice on Grenadier pond. Unlucky or just plain stupid I got one boot soaked.

This is from my first attempt at developing using a pinch of Rodinal added to Xtol. The idea (from apug) is that the Rodinal adds a bit of edge definition which is normally absent because of the solvent action of the Xtol.

This image and other high contrast scenes had high DMAX-DMIN. The DMAX is a little bit more then my scanner can handle.

The colour is the result of scanning (not post processing) in 48 bit colour to try to expand the dynamic range. My Blog posting on the range expansion using the colour channels.
