I hadn't been walking in the hills for almost two weeks so decided that, come hell or high water, I was going. Well, we sure had high water... It has been raining hard for a while. I think that so far this month we have had only 4 or 5 days without rain of some sort. The hills are saturated and some slides have occurred in surrounding areas. As we topped this utility road and began hiking on the paths we noticed water flowing out of holes in the hillsides. I think we may be in for slides where we like to hike if the rains persist. It may be too late to avoid already, I don't know.
