waiting out the weather

some of the offshore gold mining boats remain tied up in the port of Nome, waiting for smoother waters.
the past three weeks have been rainy & stormy, not allowing the miners or fish boats much time offshore.
So far July has been the 4th wettest on record...so it may be awhile for these guys...
