Study in Green II

Tom Benedict

My younger daughter asked for a camera for her birthday. For several years now we've parked the car at my work, then walked the rest of the way to her school. Toss a camera into the mix, and it's a daily camera outing.

This morning I stuck a 100mm macro lens on my T2i, grabbed a tripod, and we took off twenty minutes early so we'd have more time to play. Now we're talking about heading out even earlier to go play.

This came at a very good time for me. Some weeks ago I hit a block. I stopped doing KAP, and for the most part stopped doing photography. Watching my daughter's enthusiasm for photography has rekindled my own. For now I'm on a tripod, but eventually I'll get back up in the air.

From a Thursday morning walk to school.
