Heap/Tree

Linus Gelber

Sun dodges in and out of a gray cloud cover today. The springtime flowering of the cherry trees at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is mighty early this year; I spend a quiet afternoon walking through the fields and flower beds, shooting and daydreaming and listening to music.

Late in the afternoon, when I've mostly had my fill of flowers, I spot this tree stretching over a corner of the Cherry Esplanade. It's irresistible, and I lie under it for a while, looking at the sky.
