On the way back to our car after a walk in the hills I saw a blue Buick parked in the equestrian parking lot. The driver was sitting inside, with the door open, and was concealed from my view by the roof supports next to the rear window. His hat, on the other hand, sitting on the roof, was too much not to take a shot of.

When I looked at the image at home, I thought it had some promise but the background was awful. A couple of days later Nancy discovered a slug of "small world" images & gave me the rundown on how to make them.

Me, occasionally not being one to let enough be enough, took the idea and ran over the top with it. So you see, this really isn't a mutant alien coming through a wormhole to steal hats from the unwary. It's just me being me.
