Pawlings farm barn

Utata Thursday Walk #396

A gray, cloudy day was still nice for a walk through Pawlings farm at Valley Forge National Park. A chain link fence surrounds the historical structures because they are unstable. The wall on the far side of the barn is bulging outward and likely will collapse without a major reconstruction effort. The nearby remnants of the charred mansion have lost a chimney in recent years, and that crushed a porch.
