Utata Thursday Walk 584

In Canada, this Saturday is the sesquicentennial of the founding of our Nation-State. I have mixed feelings about this celebration, considering the historical treatment of the indigenous communities of this land. That being said, the original plan for the Dominion was to place the three maritime colonies of Britain, name Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick, under one rule. The provinces of Lower and Upper Canada weren't invited. They crashed the party and brought food to the table. Only in Canada could a bunch of Victorian men actually come to an agreement after getting drunk and a full stomach. So, let's celebrate this week's Utata Thursday Walk with some photos and butter tarts, that uniquely Canadian sweet. Tag your photos with utata:project=tw584 and post one small image in this thread.
