I just finished watching Altered Carbon on Netflix — think of William Gibson's cyberpunk bad-assery crossed with a Blade Runner aesthetic — and it struck me again how bleak the future is. The sci-fi dystopic trope is well-worn but seems even more in vogue. Mind you, it does promise us flying cars. How cool is that? And speaking of cool, it's Thursday again.
