Bridges of Hiway 59

James

Every time i drive past these bridges I think I want to shoot them, but never certain of how. With a Thursday walk urging me out of my car and on foot, and the DILO compulsion to shoot my day, and since i way over caffeinated myself for working at night, I decided to do this from the first bridge in the series.

Unfortunately there is a chain link fence that I couldn't get out of the way of the lens, so I ended up climbing part of the bridge to set the tripod up on one of the walls by bringing its feet close together and keeping a grip on the camera strap in the event of it falling.

Climbing down was a bit of a challenge, but standing there on that wall - up above even the walkway in the night breeze way above traffic was an exhilarating experience. Now to try this again with more traffic than what i can find at 3:30am....
