Berne, market

barbara ender

After a torrential downpour, the sky cleared, sun came out and during the afternoon people ventured onto the café terraces (though still wrapped up in winter coats). Berne market has re-opened and I wandered around, looked at the flowers - took this photo because of the interesting space-saving installation for the pansies, a reinforced and elongated green plastic bag full of earth, a handle to hang it up by, an opening at the top for watering, and slashes in the side where the pansies grow.
