As I took my walk this afternoon I thought of Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi and these words: "Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone? They paved paradise Put up a parking lot" Not exactly a parking lot that black asphalt is, but a couple of years ago that black patch on the left was replanted with flowers as part of the city's Unpaving Paradise initiative in which cemented areas were re-florated into wildflower gardens. This week, the city decided to make this corner accessible, but flower-less. Sad. Whatever. At least we have Utata Thursday Walks.
