It's the last Thursday of August as we head toward the unofficial "last weekend of summer". We know intellectually that we still have over three more weeks of summer but emotionally this upcoming weekend feels like an ending. The "empty nest" is such a cliché but I can't help being overcome by that emotional time-bomb as my youngest one leaves for university on the weekend. Next week, the school year begins anew.
