"We have a mushroom forest," my husband told me. "Come see." He'd taken the compost outside after dark, and when he showed me what he'd discovered growing all over the mulch in back of the house I was amazed. This morning -- when there was enough light for photographs but not yet enough to shrivel the 'shrooms -- I returned to take some photographs.
