Thursday walk in Hockley at lunchtime, knowing there would be no golden hour... admiring the first floor of the first Boots Building, on Goose Gate - you can see more of the building opposite and I quite like the resulting combination of order and chaos...
Before Jesse Boot made such a success of the family shop that he could afford to upgrade it, barley twist and all, it was a modest herbalist.
The first floor is now a restaurant, The Larder on Goosegate.
