I just gave blood. That's me, with a pint of my blood. This was my first time, so I didn't know that to expect. Impressions:

- The needle was HUGE. Like, 16-gauge. Holy crap.
- It takes about 10 minutes to bleed out that much blood through a 16-gauge needle.
- The folks in the bloodmobile are awesome.

Have you ever given blood? What was it like?

(Also, let me know if this photo upsets you... I thought about marking it "moderate" but I dunno...)
